This unique lidded ceramic jar was made by IDEA in the 1980s. It feels much more like a small sculptural object than a simple container – the lid has a landscape-like, flowing texture with a strong, tactile character. The glaze moves between soft grey and deep blue with subtle earthy tones near the base, giving the piece a calm but expressive presence. The form is minimal, yet distinctive, and it works beautifully in both clean, modern interiors and more layered, eclectic spaces.
There is a very small, approximately 0.3 mm firing crack on the base, created during the kiln process. It does not affect the function of the piece and is documented in the photos. I also have three other IDEA pieces from the same collection available, which pair beautifully together.
