Ambrus Gerő (1986-) currently lives and works in New York. His oil paintings are creations born on the border between reality and fantasy. Grandiose objects, creatures, and forms come to life. The luminous and dream-like paintings deal with a variety of topics, but behind each work, a significant social issue and message concept is elaborated. He studied Master of Fine Arts at the Pratt Institute, he had several solo exhibitions in Hungary and several group exhibitions in New York and Germany. The painting "Unicorn" won the People's Choice Award at Jackson's Open Painting Prize in 2018. In 2022 his solo exhibition "Masks in Rave" opened in Manhattan.
