About Teréz Urbán:
She was born in 1936 in Szeged.
In 1960, she graduated from the ceramics department of the Hungarian Academy of Applied Arts, where her masters were István Gádor, Miklós Borsos and Árpád Csekovszky. From 1960, she was a member of the Art Fund, then MAOE, and from 1967, MKISZ, MKT. II. Pest County Applied Arts Exhibition Award. She lives in Szentendre. Between 1960-86, as a designer of the Szentendre Building Ceramics Factory, he designed and executed wall coverings, room dividers, wells, stoves, and engaged in architectural reconstruction tasks. Her delicately patterned reliefs associate geometric and abstract organic forms with each other or are inspired by folklorism. Her urban reliefs are made for domestic or foreign orders. From 1986, she also creates small terracotta circular sculptures, which are mostly non-figurative.
